Exchange cards + a few rare backgrounds in exchange for the desired game or game key. This is more profitable than paying crazy tax to the store where you lose money (in my case almost 65% of the cost) Personally, for me, the Steam market died with these changes, and various communities are the priority.
Now even more things will bypass the store market. CS2 cosmetics were not enough for them. This is a "brilliant" solution.
Those already exist i would guess, as it does not make sense to sell stuff under a certain price..as taxes and fees would eat up everything so the drv/publisher would get nothing out of it.
They exist, but they're normal. Previously, the lowest price for a game in Russia was 3 rubles; now it's 19. That's normal. What I mean is, sooner or later it might happen that games won't be cheaper than $1, even with discounts.
If at some point Steam's infrastructure becomes resource-intensive and expensive, regions with weak currencies will be the first to fall.
After this tax nonsense, I won't be surprised by anything anymore. I hope this was actually preparation for some kind of crafting system, and not just a desire to unify markets.
