Well, Mr Newell is unfortunately the one eyed monster in the land of the pc blind.

Other than him you have Epic and Gog. Not very much in competition.

I do not believe the GOG guys promised to make a game, then flaked for nearly 20 years.

I buy @ Epic, have been doing that for a long time now.. Valve needs to have real people in chats or dump forums.. Why should we monitor ourselfs ?? GOG still uses Valve so most of those games are not for me. Epic did just give away Hogwarts for free.

I like drm free so GOG my other platform + alot of old games and game preservation program.

I'm sure they won't miss me.

Where have Valve teased anyone about HL3. I'm pretty sure Gabe said at one point it wasn't happening.

Rumours about its existence and announcement at the game awards were spread by people looking to get engagement on their videos and news articles.

Stop buying into the hype, stop listening to Youtubers who do nothing but bait people.

Pretty much this. Tubers have learned that lesson well.
Best of all the people won;'t remember all the times they've been wrong so they can keep doing it again and again.

How can you give that which you must possess. You can have faith in something or someone. It doesn't seem possible however to project that. It isn't like a cloister of Christians. Can surround a Muslim, place their right hands to their hearts, stretch out their left hands palm first, and through the power of the holy spirit. Mutate the Muslim into a fellow Christian.

Though I'm sure there are some Christians. That somehow think it can work just like that. Now if I'm understanding the complaint it's about Half Life being a no show at the awards, and to that I'd have to say who the hell cares about no new installments in that series. Half Life isn't even in my top twenty shooters. Probably isn't even in my top fifty shooters.

I've never understood the obsession some have with the series, and I couldn't care less if there is never ever another Half Life. You know what I'm disappointed about. Microsoft cancelling Perfect Dark. Now that was one of my favorite shooters of all time. I want to stick turrets on the ceiling, or shoot my friends up with acid, and use the Xray gun to kill campers through walls.

Anyway stop having faith that a game will come out. That seems like a complete waste of energy.
