Steam's autocorrect isn't working?
Am I the only one noticing lately that when you type anything out on here, if you made a typo or misspelled, then usually bringing up the corrections with right click would allow you to change and fix it. Now, even when you do, clicking on the correct spelling does NOT change it. You basically have to rewrite and/or fix the spelling typo or error yourself.

And it's not that one is too lazy to do it, but there could be instances where you might actually not remember how the word is properly spelled, and the drop down list shows the correct spelling, but Steam refuses to actually CHANGE it when you click on it.

Yes I am seeing it too. It shows you the correct spelling but Have to manually correct.

been that way for 2 months now.
The spell check has been an issue for months in the beta and they still didn't fix it by the time the mainline branch got its update September 9th.

Steam has autocorrect features? I thought it was more of each pc's settings?
it doesn't work for me as well, it still highlights misspelled words, but it does aboslutely nothing when clicking on it

Still not working for me either. What is this? Gabe trying to course correct the wrong ways I've been spelling things for decades by making me make the fix manually?!

Works in a browser, or in the Windows native client now. But at least one of them is working, the platform dates back to ...oh I don't know, so it's to be expected.
steam doesn't HAVE an autocorrect feature, its part of chromium itself. So until they update the version of chromium they are using expect it to remain broken

edit: forgot the n't on doesn't. Sleepy posting is always a bad idea XD

It regressed, so not sure what triggered the regression.
Yes this is happening to me as well. When I click on the correction it doesn't correct it and stays the same exacty like you said. It only started doing this not long ago. A few months ago on Steam Discussions it would correct it like normal but now it doesn't anymore.

You can't even get a suggestion anymore for auto correct, been that way for me all week. At least it still underlines the misspelled word. The whole thing has been messed up for several months. Perhaps you could report it to steam support, they are more likely to deal with it than complaining on a forum.

I genuinely didn't even know you could do that! I've been doing it my self this whole time.
