After about 10 hours in Team Fortress 2, it’s easy to see why this game has stuck around for so long. Even as a new player, TF2 feels surprisingly alive, chaotic in a good way, and genuinely fun—despite its age.

The first thing that stands out is the class system. Each of the nine classes feels distinct, not just in weapons but in how you think while playing. Switching from something straightforward like Soldier to a support role like Medic completely changes the experience. In those first 10 hours, experimenting with classes is half the fun, and no class feels totally useless, even when you’re still learning.

The gameplay is fast, messy, and often hilarious. Matches don’t feel overly sweaty at this level; instead, there’s a lot of goofy moments, unexpected deaths, and clutch plays that happen almost by accident.
