About 50 metres before the station you can see a special round sign with a cross that will warn you of its approach ;)
Braking (reducing speed) would always be available.
But reversing (changing the direction of the entire tram once it stopped) should either be penalized or disabled.
And the meaning of "going forward" and "reversing" depends on the direction of travel: when the tram is going uphill (from Shore Depot to Summit Depot), going forward means moving to the right and reversing means moving to the left. If going downhill (from Summit Depot to Shore Depot), it's the other way around 😊
