My SteamVR has been weird recently, not letting me update it. It tells me I don't have the permissions when I try to install it then it says a bunch of random files and crap. Any help would be appreciated.

The most recent update made it unusable for me and many many others. Steam VR won't launch and the play button was replaced with a "purchase" button. In no way can i get Steam VR to work at all

After updating, SteamVR started and said, "Not Ready". A moment later a small dialog box appears telling me that it can't finish the update because the app is running. I've shut it down, rebooted the computer, checked the connections (which would make no sense but will be asked) and now I'm backing up my game files in an attempt to reinstall SteamVR. The backup will take a lot of time and then the restoration will be roughly the same.

It's just that it can't finish updating because it is in use and I can't update it without starting it.

Edit: Reinstallation did not work and I have the update this time.

Just brought the VIVE Yesterday, Plugged it all in got the stations going, everything's coming up as connected in the SteamVR Device connections expect nothing is working/ registering with SteamVR (No Icons are showing on the SteamVR staus pop up). This is with having the VIVE software installed and uninstalled. Base stations are set on b and c, however the bluetooth even though says is connected, comes up with not having a driver. GPU is a 980Ti, CPU i7 6400k and 16GB RAM for those concerned about basic specs.

Why did you remove the opportunity to choose the old version ??? Your new version is not working. Previously, at least it was possible to return to the old version, and now only beta can be selected, which also does not work. Error 119. SteamVR starts and turns off right there!

Mine is probably a easy one. But I could not find an answer anywhere. When I lost a game in my steam vr. It loads both on my monitor and my oculus. How do I make it only load on the headset?

My vive is receiving input from my computer but all the time and just displaying it in 2D but not all of the input, only whatever is in focus and my mouse is only available in the headset but its impossible to do anything I cant find anyone mentioning this issue anywhere.

The new Steam VR update broke a lot of things. First, OVR toolkit and OVR advanced settings will not automatically open like they used to. Second, the settings were reset without my permission. Worst of all, I cannot use my left controller because Steam VR somehow confuses it with my left ankle tracker.
Is there any way I can access the previous version of Steam VR because this version is broken beyond repair?
