hey! so ive had my valve inde>< (key doesnt work sorry) for a couple of years now and have been using steamvr for and equal amount of time. about 2 years of using it, the overlays worked just fine! like the desktop options and opening browsers, but now they just don't work. i've tried literally everythingggg to try and get them to work. ive reinstalled, used the beta, unplugged display cords, updated my drivers, EVERYTHING!!! ive tried looking for help for my specific issue but havent got any results :c
once the desktop view stopped working, i depended on my opera window to access my computer and such, but now its not even an option to use anymore. what do i do??

[SOLUTION] i saw a reddit post saying something about "power saving" i tried it, and it worked! here it is:
Close Steam and SteamVR completely.
Open Windows Settings: Press Win + I.
Navigate to Graphics Settings: Go to System > Display > Graphics settings (scroll down).
Add vrdashboard.exe:
Under "Graphics performance preference," select Desktop app and click Browse.
Navigate to your SteamVR folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\bin\win64).
Select vrdashboard.exe and click Add.

this is what worked for me!!
