Man since I upgraded to my oled tv im never buying crappy lcd again, there would have to be some sort of super review to make me reconsider

Its almost like they did not realise that Quest can stream steam just fine.

Its the same headset just wireless?
Yeah, the LCD screen, plus the AA batteries in the controller.

I will wait for the 2.0 version, or whatever 3rd party version that changes those two.

Like the Quest 3, its standalone but can connect to the PC. Honestly the Quest 3 still looks far more appealing, as it has finger tracking, lidar, and color passthrough. It also looks smaller, and will be cheaper. Picked one up for $250 on the marketplace. The value proposition is simply too good to pass up.

it's a PCVR without wired connection.....or maybe it's a standalone headset without MR.....
sorry, very disappointed by the specs, hope real tests will change my mind

its just gonna get eaten up because "oh my god guys its valve!!" even though its such mediocre slop, you'd expect it to be higher-end but no its just a black quest 3

no color passthrough, so not so good with MX stuff. i really like the controllers though.

Valve has abandoned VR enthusiasts. No reason to buy this if you already have a quest. It’s the biggest disappointment of 2025. No inovation at all just another headset in the pile of mainstream headsets
The only thing this has over the index is wireless, that's it.

Biggest let down I've ever seen when it comes to VR headsets, and it will probably be even more expensive than a Q3 when it doesn't even support proper pass through.

Clearly a cash grab

It's a fair upgrade to the Index - but so was/is the Quest 3.

The foveated streaming/eye tracking looks very impressive. The boost in pixels per is great. The new controllers are interesting and IMO how they should been originally designed. The dongle feature for PCVR gamers is also amazing and eliminates the hassle of managing VD/Air Link and router settings. Not to mention being able to load games and/or stream flawlessly - including flat screen games.

I want it - I just don't know if i can justify it when I have a Quest 3.

You think I should upgrade to the quest 3? I have a index, is it a worthy upgrade considering when I upgrade I like a decent return or you think I shud go for one of these expensive pico`s with oled
