One of my favourite games I own is SPORE but I havent seen anyone playing it recently this game is dead

When I try the login option it says I am not connected to internet/ servers not available. Is it true?

Hello. I remember when the war of videogames vs piracy exploded and publishers used a lot of methods to fight it. And EA used on Spore a strange licence/DRM system that would mark your hard disk forever and take note of the number of PCs you are using, limiting you the number of times you could install your game before losing the right to do it again. Is that antipiracy method still active on Spore? I wouldn't like to have that sort of things on my PC, I just want to play an old cute game, not make marks ...

Hello. Making it simple, I don't like multiplayer games, and I hate MMOs. 1. But as I remember when I played Spore a lot of years ago, the game has an expanded universe based on the sharing of models with other players (usually creatures with certain forms ) and I don't like it, I'd like the game only used used my personal designs. 2.
